Gladiolus Flower Bulbs (Mix)

Gladiolus is favored for its beautiful, showy flowers. Its flowers grow on tall spikes and have many different colored flowers. They grow between 2 – 6 feet in height and should be watered well during the growing period.

In the Ground

Site your plants where they will receive full sun. Dig holes and plant the corms 7 inches deep and about 6-8 inches apart. While gladiolus may be planted more shallowly, bigger bulbs perform better with deep planting and the extra soil around the base of the flower stalks helps support the tall flower-laden stems. After planting, water your glads generously, soaking the soil to settle it around the corms. Roots and sprouts will form shortly although it sometimes takes a little while for the shoots to appear when the corms are planted deeply.
